The junk yards off Jalan Bendahara in Ipoh have got lots of ex govt vehicles. I've seen plenty of land xxxxxs, stonefields, volvos, mercedes trucks and even a SIBMAS APV recovery vehicle. Dunno if they're willing to let for for cheap or not.

continental cars are super duper heavy, so it will be around 1k-1.5k.
use small light cars.... but, it will still be costly. i know a good running volvo being sold for rm500 lol!
